The Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti was “very happy” to see his team record their fourth win of the season to retain their 100% start, and saw them climb to the top of the Premier League on goal difference over Tottenham.
“We played very well in the first half,” he said. “I am very happy not just for the result but for the players.
“We were lucky to score in the last minute of the first half. Then the game was more easy in the second half.
“I am very proud to train this team because they have a lot of quality. We are very happy.”
He added: “All of the players did a very good job. In my personal opinion the best player in this match was Essien.
“He did a very good defensive job and then going forward.”
The whole team performed brilliantly, creating 28 attempts on goal, with 18 of them on target. If they carry on playing in this style, i cannot see them losing to anyone!
