The Chelsea coach Carlo Ancelotti admits that the teams defending against set-pieces has cost his team points, but he prefers to concentrate on the good points of the Chelsea defence.
“We conceded a lot of goals in the last games but all on free-kicks. There are other things, we conceded only two in 17 matches in open play,” he said. “This is a very good record for us and we have to maintain this.
“Our aim is to play well and in this moment we don’t have continuous play, we played well against Portsmouth in the first half, second half was not good,”
“We have to maintain good play in the 90 minutes, and I think that it’s important to stay top.”
“The players were relaxed before the game against Portsmouth, maybe too much relaxed!’ he continued.
“I didn’t see a nervous moment before the game against Portsmouth, but the victory is important to maintain a good atmosphere in the team.”
Let’s hope there is still a good atmosphere after the West Ham game!
