Ancelotti – Zhirkov's staying and will get his chances!

There were reports that the Chelsea wing-back Yuri Zhirkov had said that he would be considering his future if he didn’t get to play regularly in the first half of this season, but as he has Ashley Cole as competition he will just have to wait his turn.

Ancelotti assured him that he will get his chances if he keeps fit and stays patient: “I don’t need to speak with him about the future,” said Ancelotti.

“That is because his future is here with Chelsea. He is a good player.

“He knows in this club, in the top teams, there is a lot of competition to play and for this reason, he has to improve.

“But I think that he will have the possibility to play a lot of games this year, because we are involved in a lot of competitions. We need to have all the players fit and ready to play.”

Yuri played very well when given his chances last season, and I am sure he will do the same again this year, starting in tonights game against Zilina….
