Another Done Deal For Chelsea As Agent Confirms Player To Undergo Medical

Mourinho is one of the shrewdest managers in Europe when it comes to getting it right in the transfer market; and this time around he seems to have added another player even before the transfer window is opened.

According to the Daily Mirror, Chelsea are about to seal a move for Croatian 19 year old youngster Mario Pasalic. The Hadjuk Split striker, who scored 11 goals in 25 appearances for his club during his breakthrough season, is expected to undergo medical in May after the end of current season according to the newspaper.

According to his agent, the young Croatian who was born in Germany is expected to undergo a medical next month ahead of signing a permanent deal with us. He is not expected to make the first team, which is already loaded with experienced world-class players competing for key positions in the team. Moreover, the imminent signing of Atletico striker, Diego Costa means Pasalic is unlikely to get a place in the team just yet.

Like other youngsters that have been signed by the club, the young striker is expected to be sent out on loan to other clubs in Europe to build his career.

Chelsea have about 26 players out on loan in different clubs across Europe, with Atletico Madrid’s Thibaut Courtois the most prominent of them all. The young Belgian has been out on loan since the past 3 seasons, and he is now rated as one of the most exciting goalkeepers in Europe. He is billed to take over from current number one goalkeeper, Petr Cech, who has been in the club for ten seasons now.

Chelsea have a rich crop of young players who are likely to form a nucleus of the future team, and the addition of 19 year old Mario Pasalic is one to watch.

It is not clear how true this report is, but it is advisable not to treat it as official until the club’s official website confirms it. For all we know, it might just be cheap agent talk, which is not new to a lot of us these days.
