Chelsea’s 2015-16 season in the English Premier League, Champions League, and the Capital One Cup, has been nothing short of disappointing and way below expectations. And with Chelsea failing in the English Premier League, the club’s only focus has become just trying to avoid relegation despite being the Premiership’s defending champions.

Club manager Jose Mourinho and club owner Roman Abramovich’s main aims have been to try and sign players that can help them turn around their predicament at the Stamford Bridge.

According to reports from the Daily Express, The Blues are ready to launch a stunning €56m offer for Atletico Madrid goal machine Antoine Griezmann, who has been outstanding since joining the La Liga giants from Real Sociedad and this move is largely going to be backed and even pushed by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.

The 24-year old Frenchman is rated as one of the world’s best attacking midfielders and the paper adds that he’s now Chelsea’s top transfer target and importantly the player himself wants to move to England and the English Premier League.

With two Chelsea strikers, Diego Costa and Radamel Falaco failing woefully and being heavily linked with a move to Atletico Madrid, the transfer of talented Frenchman to Stamford Bridge is getting more obvious as a switch could just be in the works.

It remains to be seen how much Abramovich can endure till he starts making these negotiations himself and luring in new players.
