Arsenal vs. Chelsea preview, prediction and betting

Chelsea travel to the Emirates stadium to face Arsenal and I think we would all agree that it is the biggest test that we have faced in the league so far this season. The Bookie bet365 have Arsenal as clear favourites to win the game at 2.20, even though Chelsea (at 3.25) are top of the league.

So early into a season it is very difficult to pick a winner as you know that performances can be up and down. Arsenal’s defence has been tight so far this season so the odds for Chelsea to win 1-0 are a very respectable 12.00. You can get the same odds for a 2-2 score draw though, and that seems more likely.

Arsenal are on a good run and a draw away for Chelsea would be a good result I have a horrible feeling that we will get turned over but I am putting my money on a straight draw at a very good 3.40 with Bet365. Last year’s result was 0-0 and I think the game will be again focused around the defence and Wenger will not throw everything at us. Neither team will be keen to lose their unbeaten run right now.

Both teams have their captains back and they are both central defenders. This is more of a must-not-lose game than a must win. We are top of the league and we are hitting form. We just need to get over this game without dropping points and we can go on and win the league.

You can get as much as 15/2 for Torres to score first, ridiculous odds really. Podolski and Giroud are the same but it is a random pick. For me the bet of the day is a draw, a score draw. It doesn’t matter who scores first and both bosses will be cagey.

So be sensible, stick with a tight draw…..
