Chelsea have lost most of their defenders in recent weeks, but there is hope on the horizon as it has been announced today that Ashley Cole has resumed training and will be rejoining the squad in two weeks time.
Ancelotti said: “Cole will definitely play this season. He will be ready for the World Cup.
“I’ve not spoken to Fabio Capello about this but the England staff are in contact with our medical staff.
“Ashley has been training individually and in 15 days he will be back with the squad.
“I think he will be ready to play in three weeks.”
After Wayne Bridge’s withdrawal from the England squad for personal reasons, Fabio Capello was looking a little short in the defensive area, but now that Cole is on the mend it will give Englands chances of lifting the World Cup a massive boost.
