The Chelsea (and ex-Arsenal) defender Ashley Cole has given an interview ahead of todays game against the Gunners, and thinks that Drogba and Anelka are unstoppable when they are in form.
Drogba’s recovery from his broken rib has been Arsenal’s biggest thorn, as Chelsea have never lost to Arsenal when he has been in the team. He has even scored eight times in the ten meetings with Arsenal.
In the three games that he HASN’T played in, Arsenal are unbeaten. Cole explained why the two strikers work together so well.
“Didier is the guy who is always holding it up while Nico is always coming short, getting in the gaps. Defenders find it hard to mark him.
“Didier and Nico have a good understanding. They always seem to know where each other is going to be. People said they couldn’t play together – but they’ve proved they can.
When those two are on fire, they are unstoppable.”
Will Drogba work his hoodoo against Arsenal again today?
