Ashley Cole returns to full training and will play against Arsenal

Chelsea have been given a boost after their mini injury crisis, with the news that Ashley Cole has come through a rigorous training session yesterday, and his exceptionally quick recovery from a fractured tibia means he will be fit to face Arsenal at the Emirates the weekend after next, and may even play a part against Wolves on Saturday.

John Terry will also be okay for the Wolves game after his swollen ankle as well, and the club has decided to reserve judgement on Didier Drogba and Michael Ballack until more extensive tests are done today.

Frank Lampard and Jose Bosingwa will definitely miss out on both games.

Meanwhile Salomon Kalou has also been given a rest from international duty as he is being disciplined for kicking the West Brom defender Abdoulaye Maite during training before last weekends match against Guinea.

Kalou said: “We have been punished and I take responsibility for what happened. This is how you make progress: admit to your mistakes and move on.”
