Today was a performance that will certainly silence some of the critics, and it was a performance that has been coming for some time now according to Chelsea boss Andre Villas- Boas.
Chelsea hammered Bolton 5-1 this afternoon, and have now won on their last nine visits to the Reebok Stadium to play the Trotters. There were two goals from Daniel Sturridge and a hat-trick from Frank Lampard who retained his place in the side.
Speaking after the game to Sky Sports Villas-Boas said, “You could stay here all day talking about the good things we did, finally we had a good game with clinically finishing. This is the sort of thing we are looking at as this is what we try for all our games.”
Villas-Boas went on to say, “We deserved it and created chances in all our games, but today we found the net easier. Everybody has been fantastic, we have been putting the effort in training and working hard and we knew it was would eventually happen for us.”
Well it certainly did happen today and I cannot think of a better way to head into the international break than what our beloved club achieved today. Lets just hope that everyone returns from their respective countries fit and well so that Chelsea can continue their assault on the Premier League.
