AVB Turns His Attentions To Man United

It was another good Chelsea performance last night without being flamboyant, but it was a win none the less and when you look at it was a good win because there was no John Terry and no Frank Lampard. Boss Andre Villas-Boas is now turning his attentions to Manchester United on Sunday and his Chelsea side will be going to Old Trafford looking to win the game.

Speaking after the game against Leverkusen last night Villas-Boas said, “We will go there to try to win it. It’s going to be a very good early-season game. We face United perhaps in their most tremendous moment of motivation and flair and style.”

It will not be easy on Sunday, but if any team can upset the apple cart at Old Trafford it is surely Chelsea.

Villas-Boas went on to add, “A team that has made its impact at the beginning of the Premier League is different from last year, but I think it provokes in us a good challenge. Motivation will be the key factor in the game, and the capacity of people to transcend themselves and take the game through and come back from Old Trafford with a win.”

Chelsea have now played five games so far this season, winning four and drawing one without really playing at their best. There is surely no better time than this coming Sunday to show the rest of the Premier League what we are capable of.
