Bale Keen On Chelsea, Abramovich To Sanction Deal With FFP Law Relaxed

Gareth Bale

Real Madrid winger, Gareth Bale is waiting to hear from Chelsea on a possible move to Stamford Bridge this summer [Daily Mail]. The Welsh international has had a disappointing season so far for the Spanish giants, and has been linked to multiple moves away from the King’s Club. Chelsea would be a perfect fit for Bale, who left the Premier League in 2013 for a then record fee of £85.3million. He was one of the best players to ever play in the Premier League, and all fans would love to see him back in England.

The Financial Fair Play rules are in relax this summer, which will allow Chelsea to spend freely, as much as Roman Abramovich wants. Abramovich is reported to be a big fan of Bale, and not a fan of Oscar. After the World Cup this summer, Oscar’s form has dropped and he can’t seem to find it again. He has been linked to moves to Paris Saint-Germain, and Juventus. But Bale plays on the right wing, and Oscar is a central attacking midfielder, so Bale couldn’t replace the Brazilian playmaker. But Chelsea’s current right winger, Willian seems to thrive playing in the center of the attack, and a move to the number 10 role could benefit the team.

But Chelsea already has multiple talents on the wings, with Eden Hazard, Juan Cuadrado, and Willian already in the ranks.  But Bertrand Traoré, Lucas Piazon, Victor Moses, Mohamed Salah and Christian Atsu are all on loan at other clubs. Piazon could be the one Chelsea player to finally make it through the youth system and into the first team, but if Chelsea sign Gareth Bale that will not happen. Chelsea will either have to sell a few of these players, or hold off on Bale.

But if they could get their hands on Bale, that would be huge. José Mourinho has crafted one of the most intricate and efficient counter-attacks that football has ever seen, but it requires pace of the wings. Gareth Bale is one of the fastest players in the world, and across from Eden Hazard they would wreak havoc in the Premier League and in European competitions.
