Bid ACCEPTED, Chelsea To Complete £30m Star Signing, Could Make The End Of Fabregas – Not Teixeria

John Obi Mikel

The poor performance of Chelsea in the first half of the English premier league this season has turned the team to one of the most active clubs in the transfer window at the moment as the club management is looking to strengthen their side. Metro news reported that officials of Paris Saint-Germain are ready to do business with the Blues concerning the transfer of Blaise Matuidi.

Chelsea have always shown interest in getting his service but due to one reasons or the other, it has not been made possible; however, report now suggests that PSG are ready to let the 28-year old central midfielder leave the French capital for £30 million.

Blaise Matuidi wants a new challenge and he sees Chelsea as a suitable destination. He is undoubtedly one of the best central midfielder in Ligue 1 and he could be instrumental to more trophies and success at Chelsea. With the possibility of Nigerian midfielder, John Mikel Obi leaving Chelsea in the January window, Blaise Matuidi may be the person to replace him.

The France international fits the style of play of the new interim coach of Chelsea, Guus Hiddink, and he will likely flourish well if the move is made possible. Matuidi first played for Troyes before moving to Saint Etienne where he established himself as a regular and was even made the captain. He moved to PSG in July, 2011 for €7.5 million. He has made 158 appearances for the French Ligue 1 Champions and has scored 18 goals.
