The Chelsea defender Jose Bosingwa has been talking about the new diamond formation that has been introduced by Carlo Ancelotti, and his role in it.
“It is good and also not good, because I don’t have the winger to help me with defending, which makes it more hard. But it gives the team more space for attacks and I like the system,” he said.
“We have the ball a lot of the time, so it is more of a strength for us than a weakness, and when I go forward I know I have players that are behind and can cover me, like Mikel or Michael Essien.”
“It is my game to be backwards and forwards all the game, so it is not a problem. I like to help the attacks, and have trained to improve my crossing, and I still want to improve that now to help the team,” he added.
We really do need to keep those crosses coming in Jose, keep it up! But it really is great seeing Chelsea continually pressing for a goal all the way through the game. Lets hope we can keep this up all season…
