According to daily star, Chelsea have suffered yet another injury blow ahead of this Sunday’s clash with second place Arsenal. The British paper are claiming Ivorien striker Didier Drogba has suffered a new injury blow that may rule him out of the clash versus Arsenal. The Chelsea legend was reportedly forced to withdraw from a carity match he was to play in this evening.
Should the report be true, this will leave Chelsea with no striker to beckon on for the clash against Arsenal. Both Remy and Diego Costa have already been ruled out of the clash with different injuries.
Drogba who is a United nations development programme Goodwill ambassador was to feature in a match against Poverty in France but had to pull out due to an ankle injury.
This paper has confirmed the news on his twitter account. He tweeted;
“Disappointed not to be able to play the MAP2015 because of an ankle injury but still supporting #EbolaResponse.”
Chelsea are currently top of the premier league table 10 points ahead of Arsenal who are second on the table. It was initially expected that Costa will be fit for the clash against Arsenal but medical analysis has now revealed the player won’t be fit for the Arsenal clash.
