Breaking News – Chelsea Striker Make Shock Return For Manchester Utd Clash

Chelsea Squad

A bit of good news has surfaced in favor of Chelsea supporters early this week. Striker Loic Remy will in fact be fully fit to face Manchester United at the weekend. This is an absolute huge boost for Chelsea, being that United have won their last 6 league games including a 4-2 thrashing of City in the Derby. Remy’s return will be an immense help in Chelsea’s attempt to retain their place at the top of the table, with huge games coming up for the blues after the United match.

Remy was expected to start last week’s matchup against Queens Park Rangers after first choice striker and top scorer Diego Costa was ruled out for the rest of April with a hamstring injury the previous week, but ironically the speedy Frenchman also picked up a leg injury in pre-game warm up, leaving legend Didier Drogba to start up front for the Blues against their rivals from West London. However, Drogba is not the prolific beast he once was, and this season he has struggled whenever he has been called on by Jose Mourinho.

After the last minute win against Rangers, beloved Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho shared that he “is positive Loic’s injury isn’t too severe,” and “should be 100% ready” to face Man United this coming Sunday. This will come as great relief for Chelsea who looked quite average in attack during their game at Loftus Road. Without their top two strikers, Chelsea wasn’t much of a threat to QPR’s defenders and only got away with the three vital points as a result of a mistake from goalie Rob Green in the dying minute of the game.

Another huge game coming up for Chelsea is against another London rival, the gunners at Arsenal. Arsenal have arguably the best in form team in the league recently, and have made a late surge all the way from fifth on the table up to second place on the table. Arsenal have won 8 Premier League games in a row, and have Remy’s compatriot, striker Olivier Giroud in good form. Giroud has scored 8 goals in his last 11 matches and has also made excellent link-up play with his teammates.

However, should Remy and Diego Costa be fit for the clash against Arsenal, we can easily take advantage of their poor defense line. Their center backs are quality, but they aren’t very quick, especially Per Mertesacker.
