Breaking News: “Get Rid Of Him” Mourinho Told To Sack £33m Rated Chelsea Player

John Obi MikelFormer England international Paul Merson believes Cesc Fabregas isn’t contributing adequately to Chelsea at the moment, he is of the opinion that the Spanish international be sold, according to reports.

Fabregas was involved in Chelsea’s premier league success last term after joining from Barcelona for 33million euros. But has since failed to replicate the form of last season, Paul Merson believes he should be sold for a better player.

Chelsea are currently languishing in 16th position in the premier league table after losing to Leicester city on Monday night. With only 15 matches already played this season Merson expects a major clear out in Chelsea this January transfer window.

“Chelsea need a January clear out and I would start by getting rid of Cesc Fabregas,” Merson said on air. “He was brilliant when he first came back to England but hasn’t being good enough for months. They’ve been carrying him” he added.

The Spanish midfielder has started 13 league matches so far this season providing just 2 assists, he has been left on the bench for Chelsea’s last 2 encounters, meaning place in the starting 11 of Chelsea is now uncertain.

There are reports linking Chelsea to a host of big names this January Blaise matuidi and others have been mentioned in recent weeks. even if midfield additions are made it is highly unlikely that the 27 year old will leave in the winter.
