The ex-Chelsea manager Avram Grant has returned to Portsmouth as a welcome hero, and the Pompey fans will have great hope that he can save the team from relegation.
Portsmouth have just won their first game after seven defeats in a row, and Grant will have his work cut out to get the team out of the depths of the relegation area.
Grant is happy to be back in England, and has assured Paul Hart that he is here to work with him, and not to replace him (yet!)
Grant told The Sun: “We will decide everything together. I will work with him fully. I know what the job is that we must do. I am coming to a team in a bad situation.
“All our efforts must be to save the team from relegation – then we will decide the next step forward.
“England is a country where at first they treat you with suspicion if you are from a little country. I have come through this now and am okay.
“There were some very warm headlines about my appointment, it has warmed my heart.
“I had a good conversation with Paul Hart and we will work together.
“I will start work on Monday but things are not easy. It is also a new team from when I was here before.”
