Gonzalo Higuain has made his intention of leaving Napoli known to the club’s management. This is being reported by the Daily Star. The lethal front man who has been in sensation form this season for Napoli intends to leave the Italian club as he is said to be outraged as being attacked by supporters of the club.
The paper also says with the departure of Rafa Benitez who was announced Real Madrid coach this week, the forward has decided to call time on his Italian adventure.
Scoring 18 goals and assisting 8 this season has increased his stock, and premier league clubs are said to be keen on his signature. With Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea said to be interested in him, he is certainly not short of suitors. Chelsea are declared favorites to sign the Argentine who once played for Real Madrid and with the current lack of depth in their attacking line up, Chelsea will certainly have taken note of his goal scoring form and should be bidding for him shortly.
With Costa plagued by injury towards the end of the season, and Didier Drogba leaving, Chelsea have only Loic Remy to rely on for goal, but he has not been able to perform as needed. With Gonzalo Higuain, Chelsea are however assured of goals. It remains though to see if Chelsea are interested in his services.
