Chelsea "Cleared" To Sign £210k-A-Week Star, Club Releases OFFICIAL Statement

Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba supposed transfer away from Juventus is fast becoming the transfer saga of the summer. He was reported on his way to Barcelona with some reports even going as far as claiming he has agreed personal terms with Barca and will join them in the winter of 2016. Other reports claim he is on his way to PSG which has turned out to be a lie.

Recent reports claim Real Madrid have an agreement in place to sign the player ahead of the summer transfer window and it is only a matter of time before the deal is made official by both clubs.

However, Real Madrid have released an official statement denying the report of them agreeing a deal to sign the player. The statement reads thus;

“Following the reports published in the Italian newspaper La Stampa concerning an alleged offer from Real Madrid for the player Paul Pogba, the club wishes to state the following:

Real Madrid have had no contact either with Juventus or the player’s agent and, as a consequence, the reports published in this newspaper are completely false.”

This statement will open the door to Chelsea to sign the player after reports emerged Roman Abramovich is keen on brining the £210,000-A-week midfielder to the Stamford Bridge. With many clubs dropping their interest in the player ( obviously because of Juventus’ asking price ), I believe Chelsea have a very strong chance of signing the player especially if the reports that Roman Abramovic is keen on signing him for Chelsea is true.

Another plus is the fact that Juventus are reportedly keen on signing Oscar. Chelsea could use Oscar as a sweetener in the deal to further reduce the asking price.
