Chelsea are keen to make major squad changes by Winter, and they have plans to relaunch bids that failed during Summer as they are still bent on acquiring the qualities they earlier missed out on. The Blues are planning on getting Juventus playmaker, Paul Pogba by January as the club’s Portuguese coach is determined to sanction the deal. The 22 year-old was linked with a Stamford Bridge move back in Summer, with the Serie A management constantly rejecting all bids from the London club.

The Old Lady still aren’t willing to let him leave after having seen the exit of Pirlo, Tevez and Vidal during the Summer. The France international has been saddled with a greater responsibility, with Juventus director, Giuseppe Marotta stating that the future of the former Manchester United midfielder is still tied at the Turin club,

“We received formal proposals from top clubs for Pogba, but we rejected them out of hand .

This season we put more responsibility on his shoulders, so he has many more games to improve.”

His importance at the Italian giants since his arrival in 2012 has continued to grow, and he has 21 goals to his name in 97 league appearances. Pogba’s season thus far hasn’t been quite splendid, as the weight he now carries seem to be overwhelming, prompting talks that a move away could be forced through.

It is believed that Chelsea will hope to use their winger Juan Cuadrado, who is currently on loan with the side to reach a transfer agreement in the hopes of completing the Paul Pogba deal. With Chelsea’s midfield seemingly crumbling, there is need for a new quality and proven midfielder of Pogba’s status. The duo of Fabregas and Matic haven’t been able to improve after a slow start to the season, and a fresh leg could be what’s needed.
