As rumours and counter rumours keep flying around, one would be forced to wonder which of these rumours might just be true. Today, we have woken to the news that Chelsea are to sign Udinese’s Allan Marques Loureiro. The Brazilian midfielder’s agent confirmed this in an interview granted to the Metro. He is quoted as saying ‘I’d rather not say too much and not mention a few teams in particular.‘But I confirm that there are options both in Serie A and the other championships.’
With interest abound in Loureiro, Chelsea would do well to quickly approach Udinese for his signature, else risk losing him to other clubs. Allan can best be described as “a dynamic midfielder with good ball winning skills. He also possesses good dribbling skills, pace and good long passing ability”. He is obviously needed by Mourinho who has had to cope with Allan’s compatriot Ramires who hasn’t been up to par and with the team needing addtions as observed by Mourinho himself. Loureiro just might find himself headed to Stamford bridge, however this is dependent on a bid from Chelsea and till officially there is a bid, fans should not be too hopeful that he is the player that might be signed by Mourinho.
