Chelsea have completed a loan deal for Brazilian youngster, Wallace to go on loan at Brazilian club Gremio. The defender who is capable of playing at right back or left back was signed from Fluminense back in January 2013. Since then he has made several loan moves in a bid to make him ready and bring him up to the level of the first team. He also needed the loan move as he did not meet the requirements to obtain the work permit to play in England.
He was loaned to Inter Milan after he signed where he made a total of 4 appearances. He was then loaned to Dutch Eredivisie club, Vitesse Arnhem in 2014, making 22 appearances. He was sent on loan yet again to newly promoted Serie A side, Carpi in July 2015. He hasn’t played much and made only 6 appearances. This lack of play time has made Chelsea cut short the loan and agree a loan deal with Gremio. Chelsea will pay he salary as long as he is guaranteed a place in the starting eleven of the team.
The player and the club will be hoping this current loan deal turns out well and help the player fulfill his potential.
