Chelsea Considering Using Two Players As Part Of Diego Costa’s Deal

The Daily Star reports that Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho could be set to use £24 Million rated Romelu Lukaku as bait to get Atletico to sell Diego Costa this summer.

Lukaku, who is one of the most underrated strikers in the English Premier League; and one, cannot wonder why the boss thinks he doesn’t need the Belgian in the team. Lukaku has been on fire in the past two seasons where he has played for two different English teams on loan.

25 year old Costa, who has a release clause said to be worth £32 Million, has continued to be heavily linked to make a move to Stanford Bridge in the summer. As a matter of fact, The Telegraph carried a report just last week that the club was set to splash £80 Million on the player’s transfer; but nowhere did the paper mentioned a player + cash deal in its publication.

Though, the idea of a player plus cash deal was once mooted a couple of weeks back; but the player mentioned at the time was our on loan goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois. However, it had since been revealed that Diego Simeone is only considering another season-long loan for the Chelsea goalkeeper, which makes a lot of sense compared to a permanent deal considering the fact that the Belgian is being touted as the replacement for Petr Cech.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for the Belgian striker, who is one of the driving forces behind Everton’s form this season. However, the Chelsea boss, who failed to sanction Demba Ba’s move to the Gunners on the last day of the summer transfer window, may not be willing to let Lukaku join the London club.

I want us to keep the 20 year old Belgian striker or at least sell him to another club outside the EPL. I don’t fancy our chances against the Belgian, who was once compared to Chelsea legend, Didier Drogba in terms of his build and playing style.

I don’t see both players being used as part of the Costa deal, but it is too early to rule anything out at this stage.
