Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah is reportedly close to joining Tottenham Hotspur after the Daily Mirror revealed that Chelsea are willing to sell the Egyptian and also reports that Spurs are ready to match the player’s £15m valuation.
The 22-year-old Egyptian, signed for £11million in January 2014, has made a big impact on loan at Fiorentina where he has scored seven times in 19 appearances. He was also a key man as Fiorentina knocked Tottenham out if this season’s Europa League.
The north Londoners have yet to make a bid but are monitoring developments. Although Salah is surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge and will be allowed to find a new club in the summer, the feeling is that Chelsea are interested in doing business with Spurs.
A move to Spurs may appeal, however after such an emphatic spell at Fiorentina he may be tempted to return. Salah cost Chelsea 11m in January 2014 but failed to start a Premier League game this term and he will be looking to seek for a team that can offer him first-team football.
