Within the space of 3 years after quitting Old Trafford for the Old Lady, he has won three league titles, One Coppa Italia, one Super coppa Italiana and is on the cusp of winning the European Champions League as well. French midfielder Paul Pogba has been a revelation since leaving Man United on a free to Juventus. Since his arrival at the Old Lady, Pogba has been attracting worldwide acclaim for his style of play, his current ability and the potential he has.
As always with footballers, he has been linked with various clubs notably Man City who want to sign him to bolster their squad. Today though, reports have emerged of Chelsea’s interest in Pogba. Already £57 million is being touted as the amount that Chelsea are prepared to dole out to ensure that they get their man. Also reports state that with Juventus interested in Chelsea midfielder Oscar, there just might be a cash plus player swap deal.
Chelsea are thus emerging favorites to sign Pogba. And people might be tempted to ask why Chelsea would be interested in him? Might be a rhetorical question or not, but there is no denying the quality of player Pogba is and what he will bring to the team. With Fabregas, Willian, Ramires, and Nemanja Matic allin the squad, the addition of Pogba would not only boost the team’s status but would improve their style of play greatly. Pogba who was described by his former club as “powerful, skilful, and creative” player who has “an eye for goal and a penchant for the spectacular” is a must buy for Chelsea.
The usual waste of money by beloved Chelsea.
This is suppose to be the season we infuse academy graduates into the team. Why buy when you can promote?
If Juve never gave him a chance, would he be world class?
