Chelsea Fear Fixture Nightmare

Carlo Ancelotti’s Chelsea fear the upcoming fixture nightmare could effect their chances of getting back into the top 4 and qualifying for the Champions League. With the game against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge being one of the games that may be shifted.

According to The Sun the issues are caused by the FA Cup and the Carling Cup final. Next weeks game with Birmingham City will be postponed because Birmingham City have to play Arsenal in the Carling Cup final. The game at Stamford Bridge against Manchester United on March 1st will have to be put back if Chelsea beat Everton in their FA Cup fourth-round replay tomorrow.

Chelsea could have up to 26 games before the end of the season which will mean a packed schedule. Ancelotti has already been rotating his squad members but will have to be careful this doesn’t effect their chances in the FA Cup, the Champions League and their campaign to finish in the top 4 of the Premier League.

Fernando Torres is cup tied for the FA Cup tomorrow which will mean Didier Drogba will start up front for the Blues. Torres and and Drogba did not gel well when they played together against Liverpool, and Ancelotti will be glad he doesn’t have to make a decision about whom and how to play for the game against Everton.
