If you believe reports in the last few days, Chelsea are ready to sign Manchester United flop Radamel Falcao on a season long loan deal provided the player is willing to take a big pay cut. According to the reports, Super agent Jorge Mendes who manages the affairs of the player has been in contact with Jose Mourinho who he is friends with and is hopeful of completing a deal that will see the Colombian play for Chelsea next season.

However, newer reports from Ital claim AC Milan are also interested in signing the player and will do everything possible to ensure they beat Chelsea to his signing this summer. According to the reports, Monaco who are battling to fall in line with the demands of UEFA’s FFP laws are ready to listen to offers and with Milan interested, they will be happy the option is not limited to only Chelsea as a bidding war for the signature of the Colombian can only be a good thing for the French club.

Personally, I think Chelsea should sign Falcao but definitely if they have to pay over £200,000 in a week to get him. I believe he could still deliver if he can manage to discover his form but at the same time he may well become another Torres who never really manage to rediscover his form after a decline.
