Chelsea have been given an all clear in their pursuit of Udinese star midfielder Allan the Metro has revealed.
Reports from Italy claim that Chelsea have joined the race to sign to bring Udinese superstar Allan to Stamford Bridge soon. The Brazilian has attracted the attention of a long list of European clubs in the past few weeks, including the Premier League Champions as well. Another report coming from Italian media outlet TuttoUdinese revealed that the Blues recently showed interest in the defensive midfielder as a potential replacement for fellow Brazilian Ramires. The 28-year-old midfielder has struggled to retain a starting eleven spot in Jose Mourinho’s team this season and might be set to leave west London.
Allan’s agent, Claudio Vagheggi, has said that the player’s options are open come the end of the campaign. “I’d rather not say too much and not mention a few teams in particular. But I confirm that there are options both in Serie A and the other championships,”
Serie A sides Juventus, Napoli and Fiorentina want to sign Allan as well and have been keeping tabs on his progress in the past few weeks. Though the 24-year-old superstar has not had the best of seasons, there will still be competition for acquiring his services. Bundesliga outfits Borussia Dortmund and Wolfsburg have also show some interest in bringing the midfielder to Germany. Now, which club signs this young and agile midfield superstar, remains to be seen once the summer transfer window opens again.
Allan started his career with Deportivo Maldonado in Uruguay before joining Udinese for just under £2million in 2012. He has since played more than 90 games for the Serie A side.
