Chelsea’s manager Andres Villas-Boas spoke about the injury situation at the club. John Terry was injured in the weekend match but he’s expected to return next weekend when Ramires and Luiz could also come back on the field for Chelsea.
“John Terry took a painful knock, but he seems OK now. Even if he is limping I think he will be fine for the next game,” said Villas-Boas. “Ramires should be fine as well. He’s progressing and will be able to play, and maybe David Luiz too.
“We go there with our confidence unaffected.
“It’s a pity we didn’t win at Wigan as it would have given a different perspective to our position in the table, but we’ve maintained our unbeaten run.”
All the players will be fit and ready to play for the midweek clash with Tottenham so fans won’t have any reason to worry. With City now a long way ahead again after they defeated Arsenal, Chelsea will have to play catch-up again before they could call themselves title contenders.
9 points behind City and only 2 points ahead of Arsenal who is now 5th, Chelsea will have to change things in January if they still want to have any chance at winning the title.
