We all remember the horrific injury that Petr Cech suffered in 2006, and for a brief second last night we all feared the worst again after he collided with Orland Sa of Fulham.
Cech was taken to hospital for a precautionary scan after being replaced at half-time by Ross Turnbull, but after the game Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas reported good news.
He said, “Petr has been taken for a scan at the hospital, but he is OK. He felt a bit dizzy at half-time and we decided it was better not to take a risk. I expect him to play on Saturday.”
Cech couldn’t have been concussed that much as he was spotted playing real money casino apps on his mobile phone after his scan!
Some people think that Cech has not been the same since his injury five years ago, and they may well be correct, but given the choice he would be in my first choice keeper any day of the week.
