Chelsea lead chase for top young African striker
Chelsea are rumoured to be leading the chase for Wilfried Bony, tipped to be the ¨new Didier Drogba¨. The 23 year old striker has been in top form this season, scoring 11 goals already this season for Vitesse Arnhem, in the Eredivisie Dutch League, to go with the 9 he scored from January when he originally signed with the club.
Vitesse defender Tomas Kalas, currently on loan at the Eredivisie club from Chelsea, thinks Bony would be a fantastic option up front for the Blues.
”Chelsea need a player like Bony at the moment, Torres is always moving and works hard, but he is not strong enough to lead the line. I’m sorry for Torres, but that’s my personal opinion.”
At the moment you would probably find that many Chelsea fans would agree with Kalas’ opinion of Torres, but I am not sure if they would want an unknown like Bony to replace him. I would rather have Falcao myself!
I don’t think Falcao would be as successful in England as everyone else seems to think but lets also remember that Romelu Lukaku was also supposed to be the next Drogba too. Even after a year or so training/talking/working together, Lukaku is no more Drogba than he is Torres…
As for me,i prefer Bony to be our new Drogba been a black because someone that must replace him surpose to be a black and not a white man,……wella
For me i think toress is the right player for chelsea.all he needs is our support and courage because i belive in him
Torres is really fighting with his current form,all he needs is just time and i promise all chelsea fans that he will soon have his brakethrough over all these battle
