Chelsea might face a bidding war over Hulk
Not long ago, it seemed like it would just be a matter of time before Chelsea announced their incredible new signing Hulk. It has all gone a little bit quiet, with Porto claiming that they have not been offered the £38 million that was reported.
The Brazilian striker has told his club that he is keen on the move and Roberto Di Matteo is also keen to get his squad sorted for a serious tilt at the title. He is eager to add Hulk to the Chelsea squad and Roman Abramovich is backing him financially. So why is he not a Chelsea player yet?
Reports today suggest that the reason could be French. Paris Saint-Germain have contacted Porto and will be able to offer serious competition to Chelsea. Porto, obviously, want to make as much money as they can on the transfer, and a bidding war between two super rich clubs will suit them down to the ground.
Maybe Chelsea are looking at other options and are unwilling to pay stupid money to Porto. The Portuguese club originally said that they would only sell him for £80 million so they might be trying to price him out of a move.
