If you believe Daily mail, former Chelsea striker Franco Di Santo is set to rejoin the premier league next season. According to Daily mail, Sunderland are in the market for another striker and they are keen on bringing back the Argentine to the premier league.
The former Blue who has 13 goals in 21 appearances so far this season reportedly has a release clause of £8m which the black Cats intend to activate once the transfer window open. Di Santo joined Chelsea joined Chelsea in 2007-2008 from Chilean club side Audax Italiano in a deal reportedly to be worth £3.5 million.
He played a total of 16 games for the Blues scoring no goal. In the 2008-2009 season, he was sent to Wigan on a season long loan deal. He played a total of 22 games for the Latics scoring just 1 goal. He was sold to current club Werder Bremen on 14th of August 2013. For Bremen, he has played 42 games scoring 16 goals.
