Chelsea News – £45m Bid To Be Made For 16 Goals 26 Assists Star

According to a report by telegraph’s Mark Ogden, Chelsea and Manchester city may miss out on the signature of former Chelsea star Kevin De Bruyne. Kevin De Bruyne who has continuously been linked with a return back to Chelsea has been one of the best players in the German bundesliga so far this season. According to many reports in the last few weeks, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been monitoring the progress of the Belgian even after sanctioning his sale last summer for £18 million.

Some other reports had also claimed City’s director of football Txiki Begiristain has already held a meeting with the representatives of the player and also scouted the player for several weeks for City. The player has however made it clear he will like to continue enjoying his time in Germany. The player’s stance has reported motivated Bayern Munich who are now readying a bid said to be in the region of £45 million for the player.

De Bruyne has scored 16 goals and created 26 assists for both club and country so far this season. Ten of these goals have come in the league in German which has helped his club Wolfsburg claim to second of the table, 12 points behind Bayern Munich.

Wolfsburg are hopeful of competing in the champions league next season and rightly so if you consider their current position on the table with just seven games to go. The club is hopeful of fending off interest from the European big guns in not just De Bruyne but as well as some of their other key players but it remains to be seen whether they can resist such a tempt bid from Bayern Munich.
