According to Sky Italia ( as reported by metro), Chelsea have opened official talks to sign Spanish and Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke. Yesterday we reported that Chelsea have sent Sport Director Michael Emenalo to Spain to try to conclude a deal with Atletico Madrid. According to the reports, Chelsea hope Emenalo will be able to conclude a deal for not more than £45 million for Koke.
Koke has been scouted by Chelsea many times in the last few months and it is believed that Jose Mourinho admires the player. With uncertainty hanging over Oscar, Koke may well be the Brazilian’s replacement. Oscar could go to Juventus in the summer if you believe reports from the Italian media that claim Juventus hope to convince Chelsea to sell the Brazilian to them for £20-£30 million.
According to Sky, Luis Filipe may go to Atletico Madrid as part of the deal that will see Koke move to the Stamford bridge. Filipe only just last season moved from Atletico Madrid to Chelsea in a deal said to be in the region of £15.8 million.
