In a news that will shock the football world and especially Chelsea fan base, reports are claiming Chelsea have officially open talks to sign AS Monaco’s Radamel Falcao after Manchester United released an official statement stating they will not be renewing the loan deal of the player nor are they going to be making his loan deal a permanent one.
Falcao had joined Manchester United from Monaco in a season long loan deal on transfer deadline day in September 2014 but failed to impress at Manchester United. According to sky sports Italia journalist, Gianluca Di Marzio Jorge Mendes have finally being able to convince Chelsea the player could still overcome his injury woes and regain his form.
Although considering how woeful Falcao was with Manchester United in the just concluded season ( scoring 4 goals and creating 4 assists in 26 games ), Chelsea making a move for him will make no sense however, Falcao is a very good player and as they said “Form is temporary, class is permanent” if he can rediscover his form, he will be a good striker for Chelsea.
Reports claim the player is willing to take a big pay cut to ensure the deal goes through. Falcao is definitely not a bad player and should he be available for cheap or on a season long loan, Chelsea should by all means try to take him on. I still believe he can rediscover the player that put 4 goals past our keeper in the super cup years back.
