Chelsea Plan £290,000-A-Week Double Swoop On EPL Stars

If you believe Metro, Chelsea are planning a double swoop on £290,000 a week Manchester City duo Yaya Toure and Edin Dzeko and the blues will be hoping they can sign both players for as little as £20 million according to Metro.

Chelsea are reportedly keen on bolstering their squad in the transfer window ahead of next season and have identified the City duo as a potential target. However, although both players are likely to leave the club this summer, doubts remains on whether Manchester City will sanction a move for both players to a direct title rival especially to Chelsea who only just snatched the premier league title from City.

Also, if Metro is right about Chelsea’s interest in both players, I do not for one think Chelsea will believe they have a chance of signing both players for just £20 million.

Although Yaya Toure has had a poor season and at 31, he is not going to be around for much longer but let’s face it, he is going to command on his own at least £30 million and Edin Dzeko is definitely worth more than £8 million.

Having said that, although we could do with Yaya Toure but considering his £200,000 a week wage at City, I think it will make better sign to pursuit the signing of Paul Pogba instead, if we must sign Yaya Toure type of midfielder thats.
