Chelsea Plan Summer Move For £30m Rated Brazilian, But Oscar Could Leave

Coutinho

Shocking reports in the media today has it that Chelsea are planning a summer transfer move for Liverpool and England international midfielder Philip Coutinho as a replacement for soon to be sold Oscar. According to the EXPRESS, Chelsea boss wants Paul Pogba but knows with Real Madrid also interested in signing the player, he may not have too much of a chance and has earmarked Coutinho as a plan B.

The problem with the Pogba to Chelsea deal according to Express is that Chelsea are not ready to pay the £80million valuation Juventus has placed on the head of the 22-year-old Frenchman.

Juventus reportedly are ready to pay £30 million for Chelsea’s Oscar but do not want the player to be used as part of the Pogba deal and Jose Mourinho having been left frustrated with the woeful performance of the Brazilian is ready to sell provided he is able to get any of his two target replacements – Pogba and Coutinho.

Coutinho who had a bad start to the season had been one of Liverpool’s best players in the second half of the season. His performance for Liverpool ensured the club went 10 games unbeaten after a poor start to the season which has now ensured they are almost certainly going to miss out on Champions league football next season.

Although it will be difficult to convince Liverpool to sell the player but as it is said, every player has their price and should Chelsea be very keen on getting the player and willing to spend the cash needed to get him ( which is reportedly between £25 million to £30 million ), it will be just a matter of time before he is in Chelsea’s colors.

The fact that Liverpool are very likely to miss out on Champions league football next season and Chelsea are certainly in it could help Chelsea’s cause.
