Chelsea Planning £106.5m Swoop On La Liga Side

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly already acting fast in the transfer market like he did last summer. According to reports, Mourinho is not only trying hard to add to his title winning squad to ensure they retain the premier league title next season but also trying hard to ensure the club has what it takes to win the champions league next season, which is something that if he successfully do, will make him the first manager in history to have won the UEFA money spinning competition with three different clubs having won it with Porto and Inter Milan previously.

Koke, Griezmann and Godin are reportedly been targeted by the former Real Madrid manager. Mourinho has reportedly instructed the deal makers at Chelsea to try to complete the signing of the Atletico Madrid trio. And to finance such a move, Chelsea are ready to sanction the transfers of of John Obi Mikel, Oscar, Ramires and Luis Filipe who is reportedly on his way back to Atletico as a sweetener in the deal that will see Chelsea sign the aforemnetioned trio.

Griemann who was only last season bought from Real Sociedad in a deal said to be worth £24 million has been a revelation for Atletic this season having been deployed as a striker from is normal role either on the wings or in midfielder. Should Chelsea sign him, he will be the ideal back up/competition for Diego Costa.

Koke on the other hand will be a better replacement for Oscar who is likely to be sold in the summer while just can’t see any reason why we would be buying Godin. He is 29 years old, although I do not expect Terry to do as well as he did this season, I believe Mourinho will be thinking of the long term rather than the short term which buying Godin would mean.
