Chelsea Ponder Move For Real Madrid Midfielder

Despite adding Raul Meireles and Juan Mata to the midfield in the recent transfer window Chelsea are always looking to strengthen their squad. Their latest target is rumoured to be Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira.

Khedira would be seen as a replacement for the injured Michael Essien who remains on the sidelines and could now be out for the whole season.

Real boss Jose Mourinho pointed the finger of blame at Khedira for their 1-0 loss against Levante recently, a game in which he was sent off. With the likes of Kaka showing signs of his old form Khedira could find himself down the list of possible starters at the Bernabeu.

Andre Villas-Boas is well aware of the situation regarding Khedira who only joined Real last season from Bundesliga side Stuttgart, but if he takes his interest any further he will be in competition with Bayern Munich and AC Milan, both of whom are monitoring the situation with the German.

Real paid €14million for Khedira last summer and a similar sum would be required to take him to Stamford Bridge once the transfer window opens again in January. What do you think guys. Do we need someone like Sami Khedira, or is the current squad good enough?

Chelsea don’t need Sami Khedira but are crying out for a true midfield maestro, an artist and genius that can truly link midfield and attack. Khedira IS NOT that player.
