Chelsea prepare second offer for striker
With Porto trying to extort millions from Chelsea for their Brazilian star, Hulk, the Blues may have been put off. Having already had a bid of £20 million for 22-year old Montenegro international Stevan Jovetic turned down by Fiorentina, the same was thought to be true of that deal.
The Daily Mail reports that Chelsea are ready to up their offer to £25 million in order to trigger the buy out clause in Jovetic’s contract. Roberto Di Matteo is well aware of the Fiorentina front man’s abilities and seems determined to acquire his services at Stamford Bridge.
Jovetic missed the whole of the 2010-2011 season after damaging cruciate ligaments in his right knee. He came back with a vengeance last season, scoring 14 goals in 27 league games and earning himself a new contract with Fiorentina that lasts until 2016.
I don’t think he is seen as an alternative to Hulk but as a different option for Chelsea. Di Matteo needs to replace two strikers, Drogba and Kalou, so if Jovetic does sign for Chelsea, it does not mean that Hulk will not be coming to London.
Chelsea might also face competition from Liverpool in their attempt to get Victor Moses from Wigan. Wigan have demanded twice the £4 million that Chelsea offered and Liverpool might be willing to pay it if Spurs intercept their bid to sign Gylffi Sigurdsson.
Chelsea should pls sign Jovetic nd Hulk so as 2 av more option on the bench.
Chelsea should jovetic because he is good and can play on the wingers also and we need hulk, modric or mountiho and debuchy

Chelsea are too found of keeping their fans in suspense; going after many players n losing their signature at d end or signing some on the transfer dateline. This time many players are out of contract and will leave. There is only one major signing. Sit men. Up chelsea!

We won’t have to worry about having a repeat of last season as hazard alone will help with creativity and delivery to who ever plays striker. I haven’t seen much of Marin so I can’t judge but I think hulk is overpriced and jovetic is half the cost and 4yrs younger
chelsea should try nd make hay when there is time,hulk will b a perfect replacement for drog,jovetic is marvelous player,we dont need moses cos his not word class,lavezzi will b more suitable to chelsea style of play,debuchy 4 position of 2

We all acknowlegde the quality of HULK and as well wish his addition ti Chelsea.However,he is ridiculously over prized. Chelsea should negotiate responsibly and note its focus in developing it Academy should be given an improved attention to avoid buying or paying for a player with so much.Abramovich should pls act fast on our possible target

I think chelsea should try and make haste to buy hulk as a good replacement 4 drogba and jovetic 4 d replacement of kalou because their is no time, chelsea should forget about maicon, maicon is old and he does not feet 4 chelsea, y not go 4 pierera the portigues rigth full back as a replacement 4 bosingwa, up blues 4 life.

Hmm i tink hulk,jovetic is need at chelsea becuse nobody knows what will happen if injury take torres,hazard it will be very difficult for the blues to win a game, all i want is hulk,jovetic,moses.
