You would have though that Chelsea’s business was complete in the transfer window, but with five days still remaining there are still plenty of rumours doing the rounds.
The first is surrounding Frenchman Nicolas Anelka, who according to today’s Daily Mirror could be on his way back to Spain. Anelka spent a season in La Liga back in the 1999-2000 season with Real Madrid and if the reports are true today he could be playing his football with newly promoted Real Betis.
Anelka scored his teams opening goal against West Brom last weekend, but with the arrival of Juan Mata and Romelu Lukaku his chances may be limited this season. Manager Andre Villas-Boas is keen to offload a couple of players, but whether or not Anelka is one of those remains to be seen.
Central defender Alex has been a target for Juventus throughout the summer and he could be used as part of the deal that brings Milos Krasic to Stamford Bridge. Villas-Boas is a keen admirer of Krasic, and his interest in the Serbian International may bring an end to all the rumours surrounding Luka Modric.
Another player that is being mentioned today is Bayern Munich midfielder Franck Ribery. The Frenchman can play in a number of roles, including just behind the strikers linking the midfield to attack. Again with interest in Ribery being made public today, and reports suggest a bid of £35million is being prepared, it would suggest that any deal for Luka Modric is now completely dead in the water.
Ribery is out of form and currently not worth £35.
Chelsea should look to sign someone like hazard or marin they are young
and worth spending on.
Up blues for life,am a chelsea fan to the core.well all i want to say is about torres,he’s a great player bt luck is against him.too mch pressure on him,but i can assure you that with time, torres wil make histories in chelsea.up chelsea for life
Bayern Munich midfielder Franck Ribery is cup tied in uefa champions league your news reporting is FAKE
Where in the article does it say that ribery has not played bishop. no mention of the champions league at all.
krasic modric and hazard should be brought tp chelsea, thats what makes a good team, proper bench. kaluo and maluda should go and look for something better to do with their tim becos they are not good player at all.
Agreed, Ribery would be a waste of £35m at the moment. Too old and on the decline in my opinion. We have enough old heads in the team, time to bring some youth through, McEachran for example.
ribery is gud for chelsea team but 35 million is too much. but i support ribery to chelsea and let anelka go
They should buy Moutinho, and should not waste time on Modric, 40 m pounds is too much for him. He’s not even worth that much, with 40 m maximum 2 – 3 midfielders can be bought. And as for Ribery, he’s 28. If we buy him, then what’s the point of the “youth factor”? He is really good player, Lampard and Ribery will be a great duo, but Ribery can face injuries and cannot be in from. They should go with Alternatives such as Sneijder, Marin, Hazard, Krasic, etc.
ALL D PLAYERS WE NEED NOW ARE- hazard, marco marin, krasic and modric
AND WE SHOULD GET RID OF- kalou, benayoun, ferriera, alex and malouda AND TO MAKE SURE WE KEEP anelka IF POSSIBLE WE SHOULD LOAN kakuta TO LILLE IN OTHER TO WRAP UP A DEAL FOR hazard….TRUE BLUES
chelsea should buy modric and krasic they are fit fot chelsea because we need a playmaker like modric and a winger like krasic .in any case marek hamsik and ribery and bale they are fantastic.
