With christmas songs starting to be played all around us, football clubs are starting to line up their January wish-list, which always leads to the usual rumours. There is no surprise that there is a fair share of Chelsea transfer rumours appearing in the media, especially with Torres yet to score in nearly two months.
The Daily Mirror are claiming that Manchester City will now fight Chelsea and Tottenham for Willian’s signature. Chelsea have seen first hand in this years Champions League how dangerous the player can be to defences, with the player scoring 3 goals against the blues in their 2 group games and are said to be long-time admirers of the Brazilian.
The Daily Express is claiming that Chelsea are preparing to pull off a major coup by luring Liverpool star Luis Suarez to Stamford Bridge, the player who cost Chelsea two points a couple of weeks ago, and has single-handedly been keeping Liverpool out of the relegation zone.
The Daily Express is also claiming that Chelsea are on course to sign Vitesse Arnhem striker Wilfried Bony in January. The player has been in fine scoring form for the past 11 months, and has been dubbed the next ‘Didier Drogba’.
Southampton are set to open contract talks with teen starlet Luke Shaw in a bid to keep the Premier League’s big guns at bay. Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are all keen on the young left-back according to the Daily Star.
Last but not least, Chelsea Legend Frank Lampard is widely expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, and Monaco are the latest team to be linked with the England midfielder.
I wont be happy so see Frank go but it might just be the right time for him to move on. And the thought of Luis Suarez joining Chelsea has me in mixed emotions, I quite enjoy disliking the Uruguayan striker but I have a feeling he could be great for our team. What are your thoughts on Suarez at Chelsea?
chelsea please get falcao and suarez and get isco and paulinioh no need of willian isco is youndger and very skilful get luke shaw also
I pray that when suarez or falcao comes 2 stanford bridge, they should not be like torres
Chelsea should go for falcao and wilfred bony nd loan torres
dont bother buying suarez, what the point? Just another player that bring bad press. We dont need that bring in falcao or cavani, a CB and a good manager at the end of the year. Then just get on with our football and get in the papers for our footballing skill not our scandals. Thats where we have been going wrong for more than a year now chelsea have been in the papers for all the wrong reasons and it has affected us.
i think bony is our best bet the guy has 15 goals already where as falcao is on 11 nd suarez on 10 and bony posseses good speed, great power and a killer instinct in front of goal..so go for bony den chelsea can go back to a 442 formation playing torres alongside bony..wat do u think?
Bony has been scoring goals, but he’s only playing in the Dutch league, and can’t be compared to the likes of Falcao. Did you watch the European Super Cup? Falcao destroyed us, and has currently helped Athletico to stay within 3 points of Barca, with Real 8 points behind Athletico. Falcao must be our main target, with Bony as back-up until he proves himself. We need a proven goal-scorer right now.
Paddy mac, remember we’re Suarez and van nistlroy came from. He has everything but lacks speed. I think he would be a great signing for 8 mill
I have nothing against Bony, but just don’t think he’s quite ready to take over a lone striker role at such a big club yet. He’s only young.
Shame they didn’t get zlatan
what we need now is a finisher not a chance creator and Falcao + Suarez combination will scare defenses a lot. then i beg Roman not to sell A. cole we still need his services.
We nid cme gud strick on jan, we fooool spend on torres he cnt make goal wel nd he z weakness nd sexy much.
No question: Falcao is a great option, probably the best if you’re willing to fork out the cash. It also may be possible to swap him for Torres [not at an equal value of course but good for both parties] and pay Atletico cash on the value difference. Torres never wanted to come to CFC and certainly hasn’t found his form. A return home to his former club would be great for him and for football in general. My thinking is that getting Falcao in January will be unlikely with the summer being more promising
Wilfried Bony is a great option for little money and for right now…while he’s hot (15 goals in 14 games, leading the Dutch league). He’s cool in front of goal and a great finisher. His demeanor shows he can be a big-time player for Chelsea and his development will continue at age 23. I would get him ASAP before his market value rises (and it is now based on the form he’s in!). His quality is undeniable and he would be a great signing, allowing Chelsea to still bring in another striker in addition to calling Lukaku back if desired.
Let the campaign for the next Ivorian to lead CFC back to its rightful place begin!
