Chelsea Set To Complete "Very Difficult" Deal, World Class Star Set To Join

falcao_1When it was getting more certain that Radamel Falcao wouldn’t be continuing at Manchester United once the season ends, there were reports that a return to Atletico Madrid could be on the cards. Back in 2012 when the Colombia international was leaving the La Liga for high spending Monaco, he was in tears, as he had become a legend and icon at the Vicente Calderon at the time following his striking prowess. His leaving was beyond his powers, as 3rd party agreement was behind the transfer. But his departure from Atletico was the beginning of the decline in his career.

The Falcao that got loaned to Old Trafford isn’t the same that was at the Vicente Calderon, and after a terrible loan season at Manchester United, he will be leaving the club for good. With a move to Chelsea reported to also possible, a return to Atletico isn’t most likely. The club’s president, Enrique Cerezo said,

“A Falcao transfer is very difficult. Now they are all illusions that the fans can make, but I think that the team is very good now. We are going to bring in two or three reinforcements.”

With the 29 year-old not likely to ever get a La Liga return for the summer, and his parents club, Monaco just patiently waiting for his contract to expire and only willing to loan him again, the Chelsea move gets a more brighter green light. The EPL winners will be parting ways with Drogba after the veteran opted to go ply his trade elsewhere. And with Loic Remy’s exit being hinted at, Costa will be needing backups. Mourinho believes in Falcao’s (hidden) abilities, and it’s getting more and more certain that he will be acquiring the services of the once-a-deadly striker.
