According to French media house L’Equipe, Chelsea could be signing champions league quarter finalist PSG’s Adrien Rabiot this summer. Chelsea had been linked to a move for Juventus’ Paul Pogba but reports claim Chelsea are very likely to miss out on the former Manchester United as PSG have emerged as the forerunners for his signature.
This development would mean Adrien Rabiot will be surplus to reguirement at PSG which means Chelsea or any other interested club will have a chance of signing the player. Rabiot 20, has been linked to Arsenal and lately Manchester United and Liverpool. L’Equipe believes Jose Mourinho is desperate to beat the rest of the chasing pack to the signing of the French under 21 star who has been linked to Juventus star Andre Pirlo.
He has three years left on the contract he signed just last summer. He has scored three goals in 25 matches for the Parisiens. With Ramires’ future at the club undecided, and Mikel likely to be sold, a move for a player in the calibre of Adrien Rabiot will do Chelsea alot of good especially as the club can only boast of Nemanja Matic as the only defensive midfielder at the club.
