It is being reported that the new cash-rich Spanish club Malaga are determined to persuade the Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas to let Romelu Lukaku move to La Liga for the last six months of the season.
There is no way that Chelsea will allow Lukakyu to move permanently as he has just arrived at Stamford Bridge, but six months of first team action at the higest level could only be good for the 18 year-old before moving up to the Chelsea first team.
Lukaku cost Chelsea £18m when he moved from Anderlecht last summer, but he is unlikely to get many first team chances this season until Drogba and Anelka leave the Blues in July, so it will be to everyones advantage if he can get some game time for Malaga.
The young Belgian international has not even been included in Chelsea’s Champions League squad so there is little point him hanging around in the reserves waiting for a chance to play, so if Malaga can promise to use him seriously then Villas-Boas must allow him to join them on a temporary basis.
