Chelsea target Fernando Llorente hints at Premier League move.

Fernando Llorente has hinted at a possible move to the Premier League, putting Chelsea and their rivals on alert.

Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham are all said to be keen on the striker, whose contract is due to expire in the summer.

Llorente publicly admitted he wished to leave Athletic Bilbao, and has since fallen out of favour with Bilbao coach Marcelo Bielsa. It now seems certain that the Spaniard will be sold in January so the club can raise some funds to buy a replacement.

Llorente said: “It is true that we are approaching the date when I can sign for other clubs, I really like the Premier League and I’ve mentioned on more than one occasion that it’s a league which appeals to me a lot, it’s one good option in terms of my future.”

Llorente is held in high regard all across Europe, and was rumoured to be close to a Juventus move, but the Spaniard quashed such rumours. When asked on the validity of reports, he said: “No. That’s totally untrue.”

Llorente is expected to be available for a bargain £5Million due to his contract situation.

I believe Llorente would be a good addition to our team, should we fail in our bid to buy Radamel Falcao. Demba Ba, Fernando Torres and Llorente would be a dangerous strike-force for any defence. Falcao has to be target no. 1 though…
