Arguably the most in-informed midfielder in the world at the moment, Alex Texeira has emerged as the transfer prime target of the Premier League defending Champions Chelsea, per report.
The 25-year-old former Vasco Da Gama playmaker has being in blistering form for Shakhtar from the start of this season and has caught the attention of several clubs with Chelsea believed to be in pole position.
However, the report claims, the player is aware of Chelsea’s interest and he has said he would fancy a move to the Premier league with the Champions. But Chelsea have been told that can only sign the player if they meet his £30 million valuation.
Despite playing from midfield, Texeira has scored 19 League goals in 13 appearances and 21 goals in 20 appearances in all competitions. His current record leaves him as the best attacking midfielder in the world at the moment.
Meanwhile, the attackers and midfielders of Chelsea have struggled for goals this term. Hazard is yet to score, Oscar has been misfiring and Costa has been more interested in engaging the opponents than scoring goals.
Mourinho is looking for player that can help save their decapitating season. Chelsea have a negative goal difference as they have been scored lesser than they have conceded.
Should Chelsea sign Texeira, he can come in as a replacement for Hazard who has been speculated to be leave soon.
