Chelsea To ANNOUNCE 1st January Signing, Medical Scheduled

English Premier League champions Chelsea have been linked with a move for Southampton and Italian striker Graziano Pelle. According to reports, the Blues are close to signing the player while other reports claim the player may have a medical with Chelsea next week.

Pelle has established himself as one of the key performers for South coast club Southampton since moving from Dutch club Feyenoord in a £8m deal in 2014 and has scored 18 goals in 49 league appearances.

Chelsea are looking at a January move for Pelle according to the Metro via CalcioNews24 as they look to resurrect their ailing season after scoring 21 and conceding 27 goals in addition to just five victories in 17 league games.

They are however expected to meet a brickwall in the shape of Southampton manager Ronald Koeman, who is adamant no player of the South Coast club would be sold.

Aside Pelle, Chelsea have also been linked with West Brom striker Saido Berahino and Corinthians striker Alexandre Pato as they look for quality alternatives to their misfiring attack comprising of Diego Costa, Loic Remy and Radamel Falcao ahead of the transfer window next month.
